What's the best substitute for the BRYCE HARPER HAIR CLAY since it is out of stock?: There isn’t anything exactly like the BH Clay but the good news is it should be back in stock in about two weeks. If you’re in need of a replacement until then I would recommend the 60 proof. It has a similar hold but will finish a bit different (a little added natural shine) and has a different fragrance (Tonka bean)
How does this differ from the 90 proof matte pomade? I'm guessing hold wise they're similar, but since there is kaolin clay in this one, it adds a little bit more "grit" & volume ..?: That's exactly right. The Bryce Harper clay has a similar hold to the 90 Proof (especially when applied to dry hair as the product is water soluble) and yes, the kaolin clay is in there to soak up any oil it an to leave the hair with a bit more volume than the 90 proof pomade.
